Pre-Season football begins in less than 5 weeks and for the sports investor it is a time to make some cash. Many novice players or players who are not serious about their sports wagering do not wager on pre-season football. They wait til the first week of college or even some for that first week of the NFL. There is some tremendous line value that you can find in the pre-season if you research enough, know your coaches and know how long the starting quarterbacks will play. If a starting QB is only playing one quarter or even two quarters, you better believe that his starting offensive line will be in the game to protect him. The running backs and wide receivers are not as much of an issue as far as playing time but the offensive line is HUGE! When the starting QB goes out, usually the offensive line takes a seat and if you have a young offensive line of back-ups then probably the game plan for that game will be tailored back a bit.
Back-ups obviously play a major role in the pre-season. It is always good to see what QB's will be playing the 3rd and 4th quarter. Rookies will tend to struggle in the pre-season but veterans want to continue to show everyone they belong in the league and they have the capabilities to move an offense with 3rd and 4th stringers. Also, take a look at how the coaches handle pre-season games in the past. Look at each week in their careers on how they have done. Some coaches want to win that first game to boost team morale, especially, if that team struggles the previous year(s). Some coaches don't care about pre-season at all and just want to escape with no injuries. Back in the 1980's and 1990's Marv Levy, who coached the Buffalo Bills, had tremendous regular-season teams and guided the Bills to 4 straight super bowls. However, Marv Levy hated the pre-season and had many veterans on his team and always had a losing record each pre-season.
However you judge pre-season football, don't let the profits pass you by. We have done exceptionally well in the pre-season over the years (4 straight winning pre-seasons and 5 out of 7). Last year we finished #1 at The Sports Monitor during pre-season (we 7-1 with our EXECUTIVE plays which are games rated 3* or higher). Make sure you if you don't have time to evaluate all of the teams, the coaches, get the information on the quarterback rotation, etc and you want quality picks, then join our service this year and start building your bankroll this season with all of our NFLX selections!
Good luck to a profitable 2009 football season!
