PHI -1.5 (-135): PHI has won 6 in a row and have really been playing like we all thought they would all year. Good news for Halladay is they are scoring runs which he has not recieved in many of his starts. Halladay is 3-0 in his last four starts at home while allowing one run in 33 innings, none in the last 25. The right-hander hasn't faced the Diamondbacks (37-63) since 2004, but he is 2-0 with a 3.86 ERA in two career starts against them. He will be opposed by Jackson who has been a play against since throwing the no hitter. Over that stretch he has a 6.85 ERA in four starts since throwing a no-hitter at Tampa Bay end of June. Hitting now is a big advantage for PHI as they are hitting up and down lineup verse an ARI team that leads the majors in strikeouts and has one of the worst batting averages. Easy win here.

NYM -118: Great pitching mathup that might be a near push but the advantage goes to the lineups. NYM are coming off best hitting performance in a long time against great pitcher Wainright. Think they continue to stay hot today. STL is coming off really 4 straight games where they are hitting less than .200 with runners in scoring position. Santana has been great as of late and think he has just a slight edge as he goes deeper into games than does Garcia for STL. good value here.

TOR -1.5 +100: TOR has swept the matchups this year going 10-0 and winning by a total scores 57-21 winning every game by more than the r/l except once. Romero has been good the last two outings since all star break going 1-1 but has only allowed 3 runs over 14 innings. This season he is 2-0 vs BALT with a sub 3.00 ERA in two starts. He faces Millwood who has been horrible allowing more than 2 runs in the first inning in 9 of last 10 starts. Even worse he has not beat TOR this season going 0-2 for his career he is 2-6 with a 4.91 ERA in 11 starts against the Blue Jays. TOR has been so hot at the plate where as BALT has struggled. All angles point to another big win by TOR great value with the r/l today!

TEX -1.5 (-110): good value on the hottest hitting team on the planet TEX Rangers. Add in they have ace Cliff Lee finally settled in and ready to dominate. Expect a near sell out to support the Rangers and really give this team a lift. Gonzalez goes for OAK and should keep them close early. But, he has only averaged about 6 innings and 3 runs allowed in last 3 starts. That's not good enough to beat the best pitchers in last three years Cliff Lee. TEX blows this one open late as they really exploit an average bullpen.

MIN -110: Don't look now but the twins are back in the race as they have won 7 of last 10 and have been absolutely killing the ball since the all star break. KC has struggled since the break only winning 3 of last 10, they turn to ace Grienke today to turn their 2nd half around. Bad news for KC is that Grienke struggles against these Twins. He's 2-6 with a 4.31 ERA in 13 starts in the series, including 0-2 with a 7.20 ERA in a pair of outings at Target Field this season. On the other side we will have Liriano who has been the best pitcher on the Twins all season. He has stayed right around 3.5 ERA all season and is coming off 7 shut out innings last time out. Much hotter lineup verse a Twins team that hits Grienke well.

Good finish to the weekend as Craig goes 2-1 yesterday with only loss being extra innings loss with Atlanta. Today we have just this one top 5 star play, but Craig's Dimaond Club Plays have gone 7-4 the last 11 weeks. Great value and easy winner, what's bettter!

CIN +105: Really good value on the much better, team and pitcher on Monday. Also looks like Cincy will get back Roland while MIL will be without Hart and Edmonds. Arroyo has been great all year for Cincy and his last two outings vs MIL he has been even better. At MIL he is 2-0 with a 1.63 ERA in his last four starts at Miller Park and posted a 0.64 ERA in his final two overall matchups against the Brewers in 2009. Wolf goes for MIL after what could be called a disappointing season and is coming off an outing where he allowed 12 runs vs PIT of all teams. MIL has been winning by out hitting teams but with Arroyo shutting them down look for CIN to win very easily. On the season CIN is 2-0 winning both at home this year!

ATL -130: The best team in the AL with Jurrjens back to his last years form spells big trouble for FLA. Jurrjens since coming back from DL is 3-0 with a 2.19 ERA in four starts. Another positive for us today is Volstad is getting called up from minors. He has been downright terrible the last two months. After a so so start he has gone 1-6 with a 5.22 ERA over his next 11 outings with the Marlins losing 10 of those games. Look for him to give up at least 5 runs as ATL continues to show why they are the best in the NL

STL -118: STL will try to avoid sweep as they turn to Carpenter to get them this win. Also they hope the offense will be more consistent and get to Dempster for CHC. Carpenter has been great in his last two starts going 2-0 with a 1.13 ERA. Dempster has won 3 in a row but basically won those due to huge outputs on offense as they scored 17 runs in those games. Look for STL to hit and pitch their way to a big blowout as STL can't afford to lose with their ace on the mound.

913 SFG -137: Pretty easy here Lincencum's great stuff verse the biggest strike out team in the league in recent years. He has been a little inconsistent this year but that won't be a problem today as the Giants have beat this bad ARI team 6-2 head to head this year. ARI looks to have kind of thrown in the towel and SFG is playing for postseason. ARI goes to Enright who has a good ERA but had limited chances so far. SFG offense has been much better since all star break. Look for easy win here as Lincecum dominates.

979 BOS -1.5 (-118): This is too easy as Lester has been Redsox most consistent pitcher. He really does well against the bottom dwellers of the league as his ERA is 1.48 with under .500 teams. This might be the worst offensive lineup in the league as SEA just can't hit for power. Even better they get to face an inexperienced pitcher Pauley who is 0-2 so far in the season. Expect the Red Sox to really feast on this young pitcher. Easy r/l winner here as the Redsox have to keep winning to stay up with hot TB and NYY!

Under 8 CHW/OAK: Two really good pitchers as of late. Mazzaro for OAK has been red hot 3-0 with a 1.93 ERA in his last four starts. Garcia will oppose him and he has been really good all season but lately even better as he has gone 6-0 with a 3.38 ERA in his past nine outings. Also positive for the under is both these teams have struggled against the best pitchers this year. OAK only had 4 hits against Buehrle yesterday. Think this one is easy under as pitchers dominate this one.

LAA +116: A really big series as these top two AL West teams. Maybe not a must win but its really important that the Angels win against the bottom pitchers for the Rangers. Feldman is one of the weak links as his ERA is nearing 6 specially as of late. He has a five-start winless streak and has gone 0-2 with a 6.37 ERA in that stretch. He faces Santana for the Angels who has been so up and down this year. Still he has been very dominant at times like last time out going 7 innins of 1 run baseball. Lets take the dog here with the much bigger up side on the pitching of the Angels.
