| Al McMordie is the most honored technical handicapper in the country. In 2007, Big Al won the $100,000 World Series of Sports Handicapping and also finished #1 in March Madness. In 2004, Al won the most prestigious handicapping contest in Las Vegas -- The Stardust Invitational. Overall, in the last 16 years, Big Al has garnered 34 NUMBER ONE awards in Football, Basketball, and Baseball; 133 Top 5 finishes; and 250 Top 10 finishes. Al is a featured handicapper both on National TV and Radio, as well as at the most prestigious gambling web sites. Additionally, in 2002, Big Al was featured in FHM Magazine.
In 2000, Al was 157-114 in football, including 10-0 (100%) in the NFL Playoffs. Al has won 12 of his 16 football seasons. Another highlight of Al's career came in 1997, when Big Al was ranked #1 by SPORTS WATCH in College Football/NFL Win Percentage and #1 in College Football Regular Season/Bowls by THE SPORTS MONITOR. Al has one of the best basketball records over the past 16 seasons (winning 13 of 16 years), and was ranked #1 in baseball for the 1996 and 2001 seasons. For consistency across all three sports, you can count on Al McMordie.
Indeed, the Las Vegas Sporting News recognized Al in its December 17, 1996 issue, and wrote that: "[Al's] honesty, integrity, [and] skills...are obvious....We have been impressed by [his] uncanny ability to pick big underdogs that win the game straight-up....We've seen handicappers come and go, and get hot and cold, but no one has been as consistent over time as McMordie, and we strongly urge you to consider him as your handicapper."
Besides being a champion handicapper, Al McMordie is a corporate attorney, earning his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Michigan. |

At 7:05 pm our selection is on the Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates 'under' the total. After going winless in his first seven starts of the season (which also happened to be the first seven starts of his career), Cubs rookie righthander Randy Wells now has back-to-back wins to bring his young record to 2-3 on the season. His ERA continues to shine at 2.57, as Wells has been a very pleasant surprise for this team that frankly hasn't had too many in the first half of this season. The Cubs head into July struggling to reach the .500 mark, so this series in Pittsburgh against a division rival is key for them if they are to keep pace with both St. Louis and Milwaukee (and now Cincinnati, too, who they just fell behind). The Pirates will give rookie Virgil Vasquez his second start since replacing the struggling Ian Snell in the rotation and, unlike Wells, it only took Vasquez one start to get his first win of 2009. Vasquez must feel pretty confident to get his second straight start at home while facing a team that's had a lot of trouble scoring runs lately. In fact, only two other NL teams scored less runs than the Cubs in the month of June (the Padres and Nationals). But if he's to earn his second win of the season, his team will have to manufacture runs somehow against Wells, who is very stingy with base-runners. In fact, Wells is an outstanding control pitcher who has only allowed a total of 13 walks in 56 innings so far. Finally, two key stats worth noting: Pittsburgh has played six straight 'unders' (and eight of nine), and Chicago is 59-34 'under' on the road vs. NL Central rivals. Look for a low-scoring game here. Take the 'under.' Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

NBA Finals Preview |
|
Jun 3, 2009 |
Cleveland.com said it best: “It's time to put the puppets away. There will be no LeBron James-Kobe Bryant NBA Finals.” It looked like a shoo-in for the top two seeds to meet, setting up a Kobe/LeBron Finals. But once the Eastern Conference Finals began, you could see the Magic were a terrific team that matched up very well with the Cavs. In Game 1, Orlando shot 55% and stole the first game as a +9 ...

NBA Stretch Run: Is Anybody Healthy? |
|
Feb 23, 2009 |
News flash: Cavaliers/Lakers in the NBA Finals. The Big 3 back in December were the Lakers out West and the Celtics and Cavs in the East. Two of those three were expected to meet in the NBA Finals. Not much has changed since, with the exception of all the injuries to key players preventing any other team from cracking that elite list.
Orlando? Certainly not a fraud, with a supers ...

| My football plays are released as early as Monday in advance of the weekend. And some games are released closer to game time, including the day of the game. The majority of the games are released well in advance. For basketball and baseball, the plays are released overnight. |
| |
| My games are rated up to 5 stars. |
| |
| I recommend players bet a consistent amount on my plays that is NOT tied to whether their bankroll is increasing or decreasing. For example, a 5* play in December should be worth the same amount as a 5* play in September, even if one has a larger bankroll. |
